Enjoy everything Girona has to offer: culture, museums, great food, beautiful beaches, and world-famous cycling from a home base that’s conveniently located and ready to welcome your family or group.
The apartment overlooks the Girona Cathedral and the trees of the San Daniel Valley, and you can enjoy the spectacular views from either the balcony or the rooftop terrace. It is very calm with only the sounds of the birds and bells from the cathedral below.
There are three bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and two smaller bedrooms that each have two singles that can be put together if you like and one bathroom with a shower and heated floor. The living room has a fireplace for the winter months to keep you warm and cozy. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare great meals which you can enjoy in the dining room, on the balcony or on the private rooftop terrace while enjoying a panoramic view of the city. The large terrace has lots of plants, a bbq and a rooftop shower. There is also a shopping bike with a basket for zipping around town. There is of course also a washing machine and high speed Internet.
Located in The San Daniel neighbourhood of Girona, the apartment is a quick taxi from the train station (€10) or a very nice half hour walk. This area has many advantages, as it is close enough to the old town that it is easy to walk to everything, but at the same time slightly removed from all the noise and activity. A five-minute walk (with a steep hill) gets you peace and quiet and a great view. There are lots of stores close by (grocery, butcher, bakery), as well as many, many cafes restaurants and bars. If you are a hiking enthusiast, we are on the road that leads just around the corner to the many beautiful hiking trails of the san Daniel valley.
If you are a cyclist coming to Girona get ready to be spoiled. The weather is great for cycling year round. It gets a little cool in the winter, but is mostly sunny for enjoyable rides. The roads are beautiful, easy to access and with very little traffic. With everything from gentle rail trails to beautiful coastal rides to big climbs there is really something for everyone. The apartment comes equipped with basic bike tools, a pump and everything you need to keep your bike clean. There is a great map on one wall for planning all your trips.
